Our distribution network now reaches a total of 12,710 schools across KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape. 31 January 2008 In February and March 2008 Africa!Ignite's RAIN distribution network will distribute matric supplementary examination material to 360 centres across KZN. 04 December 2008 Africa Ignite has launched "IGNITE" - a range of craft pieces created in conjunction with MiET, crafters from KZN and design agencies around the province. 14 May 2009 Africa!Ignite has launched iThubalethu, South Africa's leading rural isiZulu newspaper. 40,000 copies have been distributed to schools and education centres in KZN. 08 September 2009 Burning Bright was launched at the KIZO Gallery on National Women's Day. It is the first in Africa!Ignite's Voices of Africa series. 08 June 2010 Africa!Ignite is contributing to the building of a positive youth culture in the South Durban basin in partnership with eThekwini Muncipality. 05 August 2010 Sarah Radomir of the SEM Trust hands over a cheque to Gcina Mhlophe, Africa!Ignite board member, to support collaboration between young black designers and rural crafters to develop new craft products that respond to current market needs. 22 October 2010 Six stunningly beautiful beadwork tapestries were a focal point of the opening ceremony at Cape Town 2010: The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization and took centre stage in the main conference hall for the duration of the six-day conference. 11 February 2011 Africa!Ignite goes international with Beads Sundressed swimwear collection. 05 May 2011 If youths of South Durban are made President of South Africa, they will take a hard line on crime and drug abuse, and will get rid of corrupt politicians. 30 June 2011 It is not a common sight in deep-rural KwaZulu-Natal to see very pale women and men scrambling down river banks to fetch water. 12 September 2011 Acquiring more sustainable business in the EU market was the focus of the Return to Sender Producer Week in the Netherlands in August. 28 October 2011 October 2011 saw the opening of the second WOWZULU Marketplace in the beautiful surrounds of Oribi Gorge in southern KwaZulu-Natal. 14 November 2011 Africa!Ignite has been named the 2011 winner of the KwaZulu-Natal Emerging Exporter of the Year award.
