Our focus is on providing support for marginalised women, youth and emerging entrepreneurs towards becoming active economic citizens while preserving their natural and cultural heritage. Established in 2004, Africa!Ignite is a non-profit rural development agency. Most of Africa!Ignite’s beneficiaries are based in deep rural and marginalized peri-urban, largely tribal areas, which are plagued by endemic poverty, high unemployment and associated socio-economic challenges. While our work was initially focussed in Kwa-Zulu Natal, we have over the years increasingly worked across the whole of South Africa, having delivered project in all provinces with current work focussed in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Kenya.
