The project supported  a network of artists and crafters who live rural areas and from KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and Gauteng to develop new art works that could be produced by the crafters. Artists and crafters worked with a product designer to produce new merchandise which will be added to Africa!Ignite’s and their partners local and export retail markets. Note that Africa!Ignite trained master crafters in various disciplines to also be facilitators in the areas where they live.
